Ford transit van, the perfect lift in Wiltshire
Here at M4 Van Sales, we are currently able to offer a used Ford Transit for sale with its own crane – more details of this later – which set us to wondering when cranes were first used. It was those Greeks, way back in the 6th century BC, and they were first powered by donkeys and the like; later and larger versions involved the use of human treadwheels.
The Ford Transit doesn’t have a history that stretches back quite as far as that, although in motoring terms, it is certainly one of the classics, as it is now into its fifth generation. The first, was back in 1965, and since then, more than five million have been produced. It’s no wonder that many folk consider it to be ‘Britain’s van’!
As promised, more info on our current crane-carrier. It’s a white used Ford Transit 350 LWB dropside, registered in 2011. Like all our vehicles, it has been thoroughly HPI checked, and offers anti lock brakes, power assisted steering, dual passenger seats, electric windows, front centre armrest, and much more. You’ll find full details here.
This is just one of around fifty superb quality used Ford Transit choices we have here at M4 Sales in Wiltshire, among our huge stock of many other commercial vehicles. No matter your work needs, we expect to be able to supply a Transit to suit. We offer all the configurations you’d expect:
• LWB and SWB vans

We can also add to these classic Transits with a selection of Connect vans. There’s more – as we have added to all of these with a group of Ford Transit Custom 270 and 290 vans.
So, whether you are transporting materials for a work project, delivering parcels for an ecommerce business, or people to their next destination… Sorry, we haven’t yet mentioned that, as well as all those work Transits, we also currently offer around forty terrific Ford Transit minibus choices for sale in Wiltshire, and you can find full details of these here.
